Enter, ‘Botox Belfast’ into any search engine and you’ll see it reveals dozens of matches. Each individual clinic or solo injector claims to be the best. With so much information out there it can be difficult to know who to trust and which clinic to choose. If you are considering getting a non-surgical cosmetic treatment but are unsure which clinic to go, Array recommends considering the following:
Who is doing the treatment?
Nurses (provided a consultation has been carried out face to face with a doctor), doctors or dentists can administer anti-wrinkle injections. While none of these are inherently better than the other, you may find it reassuring to have your treatment carried out by a medical professional that can deal with any complications that may arise. Here at Array, injectable treatments will be carried out by a qualified doctor who has had advanced training in Botox and dermal fillers.
Is a consultation included in the price?
Many people who attend a cosmetic medical clinic are unsure what treatment is right for them. With so many treatment options available, a consultation with a specialist doctor can help guide patients as to what is what right for them. Many clinics will charge for this consultation, however, at Array a no commitment meeting with one of our doctors can be arranged free of charge (click here for more information).
Is a follow-up appointment offered?
Botox takes around 2 weeks to take maximal effect. In order to ensure that any asymmetry (which may not be apparent initially) can be balanced out and corrected all patients should be followed up by an experienced injector 10-15 days after their initial treatment. Be sure to choose a clinic which offers follow up as standard (and included in the price).
What product is being used?
There are a range of Botox and dermal filler products available. Be sure to choose a clinic that uses FDA approved products as they have a proven track record of safety and efficacy. At Array, we only use FDA approved products which go through a prolonged process of quality assurance.
Are those involved based locally full time?
This is logical really. Having any aesthetic procedure carried out by someone who ‘flys in and out’ with no guarantee of follow up or accountability for procedures carried out is not advisable. At Array, all our doctors are locally based and trained, working full time from our base in Belfast.
