Corrective Work

Before & After...

With the huge rise in poor and underqualified practitioners flooding the underregulated non-surgical aesthetics market, we unfortunately meet patients who have had bad experiences elsewhere. Fortunately, anti-wrinkles infections will always wear off and hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase.

Hyaluronidase (or ‘hyalase’) is a naturally occurring enzyme that acts to break down HA filler. It works very quickly and is safe in the right hands.

Corrective Work Treatments

At your initial complimentary consultation, we take a history and examine your area of concern and create a plan to dissolve your filler as appropriate. Sometimes several sessions of dissolving are required to get rid of all filler and this can only be carried out with HA fillers. Other permanent or semi-permanent material cannot be dissolved with hyalase.

About 1 in 7000 patients are allergic to hyalase. We always do a ‘patch test’ before treatment to be sure that you are not allergic. This involves introducing a very small amount of hyalase under the skin of the forearm and observing the area for 30 minutes. Adding filler after hyalase treatment is avoided generally for about 2 weeks.

Hyalase can be used for the following purposes:

–   Dissolve lumpy and uneven lip filler

–   Dissolve ‘overfilled’ or incorrectly treated areas under the eye

–   Dissolve unwanted HA filler anywhere

The benefits of hyalase

– Maximum results within 1 to 24 hours

– Total injecting time 1-5 minutes

– Results are permanent

– Allows a ‘blank canvas’ to start again

Having previously had lip fillers done somewhere else I was left with uneven bumpy lips and I hated them! I went on Thursday to get them dissolved and then another half ml put in the following week, I have never been sooo happy with my lips! The shape of them is amazing I have the nicest Cupid bow and they are perfectly symmetrical and they are everything I could have asked for! Thank you so much Chris.
