For profile balancing, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are generally used. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is found naturally in the body. High density, ‘stiff’ hyaluronic acid products are often used in profile balancing, particularly for the chin and nose. These are known for greater longevity.
Profile balancing takes around 30-45 minutes. There is no significant downtime, with patients typically able to return to normal activities immediately.
Profile balancing with filler typically lasts between 9-12 months.
